The announcement
The Insti elections were announced sometime during Midsems and immediately, one could feel the poltu season starting in the insti. Insti elections is quite a big and important thing actually ... held every year, the posts which it covers are:
1. The Institute festival heads - Techfest, MI and E-Cell OCs.
2. Insight and Awaaz - the newsletters in the Insti - heads.
3. The General Secretaries for Academic Affairs (GSAA), Hostel Affairs (GSHA), Cultural Affairs (GSCult) and Sports (GSSports).
4. The Institute Secretaries who come under these General Secretaries - in Cult and Sports. The Secretaries under GSAA and GSHA are nominated.
As soon as the elections were announced, intersted candidates were running around trying to find good people to propose and second them for the elections. The nominations were to be filed by the end of February and the actual voting was held yesterday.
